A beautiful expression of Barolo from one of the most prestigious sites in the region - the Cannubi Vineyard. This hallowed hill has been described as 'the perfect expression of Barolo', and produces richly perfumed wines which age gracefully for decades.
Produced using wild yeasts, and aged in 500L French oak foudres, Luciano Sandrone is one of the standout "modernist" producers in Barolo, favouring smaller vessels for aging (More traditonal might be 1000-2000L) and less extraction, for a wine that is more approachable young. That being said, this wine will be best enjoyed from 2024 onwards.
